dear all,

hey. ths is wenxin/ sierra hailing from florida. hooray at least i managed to get my laptop to a wireless connection today. my family and i are staying in this place called fort lauderdale, and we're presently renting out an apartment called the Waverly; we haven't really found an apartment to settle down in yet. yesterday on the plane i was already getting REALLY REALLY homesick. haha i'm missing the security and familiarity of singapore, but at least i have MSN. i'm missing ALL of you too. argh. :'(

can you believe all of our luggages were overweight on the first day of the flight? so now we only have TWO luggages with us now, and four luggages are stuck in another plane, in another state too, most probably, containing all our CLOTHES. we haven't really gotten any social life here yet, but we have some friends from singapore too, called Ory and Love, from my church in Singapore called COOS(Church of our Saviour). they're a couple and they live near us, and they helped us a lot today, like geting groceries and shampoo and all. so yeah, we're pretty much okay out here. (:

my younger brother and i are still getting used to the life here in the states - total strangers can just greet you and ask you how's the weather and baboom! you have a new friend. xDD the people here are REALLY friendly, and everything's the total opposite of singapore; the food is ALL junk food, the driver's seat is on the left side, you have to TIP people and they DON'T HAVE CHILLI. well, not that i mind hehe. but it's also quite dangerous out here in florida too, and i heard from Love that recently there's a rapist on the loose in fort lauderdale. his MO is to break into homes when parents aren't around and kids are alone at home. so we'll have to be careful i guess.

well i'm getting REALLY long winded so i'll just end off here. here where we're staying it's twelve hours behind singapore's timing so i'll most probably see you guys on MSN round 6p.m. singapore timing everyday, when you all are online after school. jeez i have LOTSA time to spare, trust me. still suffering from jet lag. zzzz. cant wait to meet you all again. will set my alarm for 6a.m. so i can see y'all online. hope you guys can make it. :DD
